Registration is now open for ELG's Program Open Day！
We recognize the issues that families and children with special needs face at home, in schools and within communities in society. The journey can be tough at times, and we all need help and support along the way.
People often have the following questions:
- Who can explain our children's situation to us?
- Which institutions should we trust?
- Which interventions are most effective for our children?
- What are the most advanced intervention methods today?
- How far can our children go with timely intervention and help?
- Will our children be able to live on their own when they grow up?
Let us help answer these questions! We will use and provide opportunities for discussion and to address your questions and concerns.
During the lecture and consultation between you with our experts, our specialist team will conduct a multi-disciplinary Developmental Screening Check for the children, includes：
- Speech-Language
- Social Communication
- Sensory Integration
- Gross Motor
- Fine Motor Skills
Registration Process
- Submit your application
- Receive email approval from ELG (ticket attached)
- Bring the ticket and show up on time
Please note:
- Your application will first be reviewed by ELG's Specialist Team. If approved, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Please fill in the correct email address and phone number to receive the email confirmation and your ticket.
- Each ticket is applicable for one child and is not transferable to another child/family.
- Please inform us in advance if there is any change once your registration has been confirmed.

Registering for this event means that you accept that we will take photos or videos on the spot and use them for future marketing purposes.
To ensure the quality of the developmental screening, the registration deadline for the screening is January 9, 2022. Families who sign up after that may not be able to receive the child screening, but parents are welcomed to take part in the lectures and consultations.

Dr. Shari Rosen
Founder, Speech-Language Pathologist of ELG 学建Dr. Rosen plays an integral role at ELG as founder, director, and senior consultant. Dr. Rosen saw the need for ELG in 2003 when she began consulting with families and organizations in Shanghai, which led to the founding of ELG in 2006. Dr. Rosen is currently Program Director, running ELG’s daily programs. In addition, Dr. Rosen consults with educators and specialists and is in demand as an effective and entertaining trainer for parents and professionals. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, the International Association of Special Education, and the Special Education Network in Asia (SENIA). Dr. Rosen has received many prestigious awards, including the inaugural SENIA Advocacy Award in 2014 and the International Professional Women’s Society’s Social Contributor of the Year Award in 2017. Dr. Rosen has a unique understanding of learning disabilities, based on her personal experience, is passionate about helping individuals with special needs, and sees everyone at ELG as part of one big community.
Blair Tang
Assistant Director of Programs, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) at ELG 学建Blair’s primary focus is making sure that parents are actively involved at ELG and she manages internal relationships at ELG to make sure that children are well supported in every aspect. She helps coordinate the development and implementation of high-quality, individualized development plans for the Chinese program. Blair’s interest in providing behavior interventions inspired her to pursue further certification, equipping her with the academic, evidence-based training to apply in her daily work with children. Blair believes that parents and caregivers play an important role in helping their children achieve the best outcomes for success and strives to help each family feel supported.

Phoebe Jan
Occupational Therapist at ELG学建Phoebe conducts assessments and develops appropriate interventions for gross motor and fine motor development, sensory integration, visual-motor integration, and life-skills practice. She has extensive experience working with children with special needs, including autism spectrum disorders, global developmental delay, cerebral palsy, developmental coordination disorder, and genetic disorders. She is also licensed in Beckman Oral Motor Training. Phoebe is passionate about helping children develop functional life-skills so they can engage in school and community activities independently. She hopes to utilize her knowledge and professional skills to positively improve the quality of life for children and their families.
