New parents are happy to buy toys for their children, and it is easy for them to find appropriate ones. However, they often struggle from not knowing how to play with their children, especially with much younger children. When playing the sensory games with their children, new parents should always keep in mind to GUIDE children how they can play with it rather than TEACH them how to play with it. Parent-child games not only foster good relationships between parents and children, but also grow the children's sense of safety and their ability to explore the environment.
In this workshop, ELG's Occupational Therapist and Sensory Integration Specialist, Jing Chiu, will focus on how to play the sensory games with young children which is crucial to brain development and good parent-child relationship.
