A lack of attention in children can be a key cause of concern for many parents. In school, children who struggle with paying attention find it difficult to keep up with the pace of the teacher and their learning can be greatly impacted. Children are often criticized by teachers for "not paying attention, not being focused enough" and lose self-confidence. Many parents often complain that children find it difficult to concentrate, and it often takes a long time to do a simple thing. What should parents do when they face such problems?
Through this workshop, ELG's occupational therapist and sensory integration specialist, Jing Chiu, will expound on the reasons behind children's poor attention, explain the relationship between attention and skill development, and teach parents effective ways to support their children's development through case studies.
